Meet Dr. Davis, Oral Surgeon in Thornhill

Joel Davis, BSc, DDS, FRCD(C), Dip. ABOMS

Dr. Joel M. Davis is the founder and lead surgeon of The Davis Clinic. He obtained his Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto. Dr. Davis earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Western Ontario where he was a Dean’s List Scholar. He continued his training at the North Shore – Long Island Jewish Health System in New York City where he completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Dr. Davis is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is licensed by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and the New York State Office of the Professions. Dr. Davis is on faculty at the University of Toronto in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery where he teaches at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. He is also a staff surgeon at Mount Sinai Hospital and a courtesy staff surgeon at North York General Hospital.

Dr. Davis is an active member of several professional organizations including the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Ontario Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Ontario Dental Association.

In his spare time, Dr. Davis enjoys golfing, playing hockey, watching basketball, and spending time with his family.
